The Fight For Fun

Some of you will not understand the concept of having to Fight to Fun Jump...those of you lucky enough to jump in a country where there is still a harmonious balance between Tandem Skydiving, and sport skydiving, will think that this is just exaggeration, that surely this can't happen anywhere.

Well, here in New Zealand, the sport of skydiving takes an unprecedented back seat to commercial Tandem Skydiving. Such so that in a country which boasts among the highest tandem skydiving njumbers per year in the World...there are at latest estimation ONLY 150 active and committed sport skydivers in this country, and most of these are lucky to get slots on anything other than a small Cessna!

That makes what this group of Guys, and one girl, from Nzone Rotorua, achieved in the summer of 2010 all the more remarkable. They showed that even though it is their job, they still have a love for the sport which gave them the opportunity to earn a living doing something they love. They showed, that the human spirit, and it's thirst for Friendship, adventure, and Fun, cannot be undermined, no matter what the circumstances...They showed the rest of New Zealand how it should be done....

Typical of the spirit of this group, As soon as the Earthquake in Christchurch struck they knew they were going all out to dedicate this film to Christchurch and

try and raise some money for the earthquake appeal. They called us up and asked us would we sponsor..."NO WORRIES" we said!..The lads had thatresponse from a lot of people they approached, and on night in Mid March, we attended a private Cinema Screening (kindly donated FOC by Basement Cinema Rotorua) where everyone who attended paid $30 to be there. it was an awesome night, made all the more memorable by the fact that we recieved a signed poster of the DVD cover from the lads!
