Measuring School

G,day, Geezer here from Deepseed.
I’m here today to show you how to take the perfect set of measurements simply and easily, so that you end up with a great fing suit. It’s important that you understand, that our systems are Awesome (Computers and everything…Brilliant) BUT, they are only as good as the info we get!! This whole Guide is available to watch on HD Video by clicking here
Before we get started, there are a couple of things that you will need.
FIRSTLY, a DRESSMAKERS tape. We have had people use Builders Tapes! String and a ruler!! Just a ruler!!! NONE of these are any good!!!! You need a flexible dressmakers tape, which you can pick up from virtually any big department store, or you local DZ should have one… or you can ask you mum! Be aware that most dressmakers tapes are double sided, so be sure to check that your tape is not twisted, as they read in opposite directions (ie. You think it says 72” when in fact it is 24” on the opposite side).
SECONDLY, you will need someone with you to measure you. Somebody competent, definitely NOT your local DZ Idiot, your pet monkey, YOURSELF, Or your Half Blind Granny or Grandad! When your friend measures you, get them to take each one three times, and send us the average. DO NOT make
any ‘adjustments’ by yourself. Send us your actual measurements… no “I’m going on a diet and will loose 3 inches!!”, or “I love wearing that baggy fleece in winter so will add 2 inches”, or guys… “I’m six foot!! Honest!” (when you’re really 5’7”), or girls “my Hips are 28’’. Honest!!” (when they’re really 36”). Wishful thinking will not make your jumpsuit fit properly!!
THIRDLY, you need to wear the clothes that you would normally wear under your jumpsuit. We suggest that you only ever wear form fitting clothes beneath your jumpsuit. Polyprops and thin thermals are good!! Baggy fleeces, and baggy jeans (not so good). We need as good an idea of your actual body as possible, which leads nicely to the last point.
This is a tailor-made garment, made specifically for YOUR BODY measurements. You can really help us to help you (insert Jerry McGuire moment)… by having your mate take a picture of you front on, side on and from behind, and attaching them to your order. We won’t publish these on facebook, or laugh at them in the office, it just helps paint a picture of your body shape, and helps us spot any glaring mistakes you might have made with your measurements.
So that's the instructions..Take your time, be accurate, and do it a couple of times to make sure. If you want to go away and do this somewhere else, download the guide and print a copy off. if you'd like to watch our Video on some of the Do's and Don'ts listed above...click here...
